Visitors to Mui Wo usually see old farmers selling their locally grown produce, such as banana, papaya, sweet potato and watercress, at the ferry pier. In addition to traditional farmers, some farmers in Mui Wo are practising organic or sustainable farming. Have you ever walked to their fields? It's just a short distance from their farms to our dining tables in Mui Wo. In “From Farm to Table”, you will gain an appreciation of the importance of the land to the farmers.

‘Farm to Table’ is a food initiative that has been closely associated with local agriculture in recent years. Restaurants use local farm produce on their menus to encourage local agriculture and reduce the carbon footprint caused by long-haul transport.

The Lantau Society will hold a Kai Fong (Neighbourhood) Guided Tour - “Farm to Table: Mui Wo Tour”. Local residents will guide you around the farms and you will enjoy local food made from organic vegetables grown in Mui Wo.

If you love good and healthy food, enjoy farming and cooking, want to support local famrs and to learn about Mui Wo, you are welcome to join the tour.
